With over 25 years of experience in the construction and design industry, Liz has been involved with every stage of real estate development. Liz’s early experience includes working in construction, remodeling commercial space and building new homes. After finishing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, she joined the design team that planned and created Peninsula Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica and worked producing site plans, creating physical models, working in AutoCAD, preliminary road grading and illustrating concepts both by hand and by computer.
In 2001 she began working in the planning department at JZMK Partners where she rose to Senior Planner and Associate in the firm managing a team of 20 designers and myriad planning projects ranging from small urban infill to greenfield master planned communities, including Marley Park in Surprise AZ and Woodbury in Irvine CA
She has planned and managed Vision Workshops, building strong relationships between design, engineering, developers and municipalities in order to create world class communities. She has created PUD and Design Guidelines in collaboration with design teams, developers and city planners.
Liz’s skills include drawing, public speaking, verbal & written communication, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Office. Liz also enjoys community engagement and is an avid Master Gardener, teaching Gardening Classes at the Desert Botanical Gardens. She is the current president of the AZ Herb Association and member of the Phoenix Zoo Auxillary. Liz is also the former Executive Director for the Valley Permaculture Alliance, and has 10 years’ experience working for and with non-profits.
